Overview:


GBA, Greater Boghé Area Association, is an organization, created in December 2006, whose purpose is to gather and strengthen the Boghé Diaspora in North America. There are more than 27 villages in Boghé Area that population is in enormous emergencies for the least human needs to live. That is why one of the main purposes of GBA is to be part of Boghé life improvement by making contributions to infrastructure improvements, health improvements, and fighting poverty, especially among women and children.



Mission:


We, GBA members, believe in our force to provide our participation by utilizing the intellectual and financial capital of the Diaspora in varieties of identified long-term and short-term projects for the purpose of improving the livelihood of all Boghéan



Objectives:


1-to contribute to the socio-economic development in the Greater Boghé Area of Mauritania by making contributions to infrastructure improvements, health improvements, and fighting poverty, especially among women and children;


2-to stimulate the exchange of information among people and organizations engaged in the social and economic development of the Greater Boghé Area and to disseminate such information;


3-to provide a forum in which descendants and friends of the Greater Boghé Area in North America can interact, share knowledge, and work collectively to address socioeconomic problems;


4-to provide support to Association members as related to the Association's purpose and/or as determined by the Executive Committee or by the General Assembly and as permitted by law;


5-and to preserve and share the cultural heritage of the Greater Boghé Ares within the context of the Association’s goals and objectives with a particular focus on younger members.
